3ft x 5ft
oil on stretched canvas

I began this piece about 3 years ago. There are about 10 steps between this one and WIP 001 [link] When I am completely finished I plan on showing all of the WIP shots. When I finished this I mumbled to myself "now it will be another 2 years before I finish it" I really hope not...

Well I can't wait. Check out my painting peaches and cherries and don't be afraid to take risks on this painting!

Thank you. I am afraid to finish it because I like the way it looks now. I dont want to ruin it. Happens with all of my works. I just need to get over myself and do it!

The cool thing about oil is you can make corrections and/or changes, break this down in it's composition - light and dark wise, and start "popping" the things that make this painting great already. If you don't like... turp or wipe it off. Or just do another similar painting. I have three paintings that are all similar to "Peaches and Cherries" and I discovered just as much from all three. Good luck whatever you decide!

I think it is a nice piece. What are your plans for it?

Thank you.

I want to add more detail to each cherry and then I will hang it in my dining room. If I ever sell my work like at a crafts fair, I think I would use this as the back drop.

You shall... if I even finish it. It took me three years to get this far (though for two of those years it was in storage in GA).
